Applications are invited for the appointment of a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics, to commence as soon as possible. The post is for at least one year, and renewable for subsequent years, up to three years, subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Statistics. Preference will be given to those whose research interests focus on Probability Theory, in particular Random Geometry. Successful applicants are expected to work in the research group of Prof. Wei Qian (https://qian.perso.math.cnrs.fr/), and to participate in the usual activities (such as seminars, colloquiums and workshops) of the probability group in the department. The applicant is expected to commence as soon as possible, but the starting date is negotiable. A highly competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience, will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, the salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
