ESC began in 2024 over a Christmas dinner in Munich, Germany — a group of friends talking about how hard it still was for talented science students to land funded PhDs and Masters abroad. Our founder, Dr. Deepak Malik, was a DAAD Young Ambassador at the time, informally helping students navigate PhD admissions. That dinner conversation turned into a simple decision: this deserved to be something more formal.
The idea was born from a simple observation: brilliant science students from South Asia were failing to land funded positions abroad — not because of a lack of ability, but because nobody showed them how the system actually works. Most available advice came from consultants and agencies with no first-hand research experience.
ESC was built to fill that gap. Every mentor is an active researcher — a PhD holder, postdoc, or scientist — working at a top university abroad in your field. We don't outsource. We don't use templates. We don't use AI. We guide you the way a senior colleague would: honestly, scientifically, and until you succeed. We're not a corporation — just a small group of researchers who decided students deserved better.
