About this position

Title: Computational Biology Postdoctoral Fellow and Staff Positions Available

The laboratory of Dr. Michael Green at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (https://www.mdanderson.org/research/departments-labs-institutes/labs/green-laboratory.html) is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for open Postdoctoral Fellow and Associate Computational Biologist positions focused on single cell and spatial transcriptomics and epigenomics. Applications of these technologies are centered on understanding disease biology and therapeutic response/resistance mechanisms in B-cell lymphomas, with a focus on cutting-edge therapies such as bispecific antibodies, CAR T-cells and cereblon modulators. The candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary lab that includes wet-lab, dry-lab and hybrid personnel, and will take advantage of resources linked with high patient volumes and an engaged group of clinical faculty.

The Green lab is part of the Department of Lymphoma & Myeloma and the Department of Genomic Medicine, which offer a highly translational research environment. The lab is well funded through the NIH/NCI, research consortia and other funding mechanisms, and is highly productive. Dr. Green places strong emphasis on trainee mentorship and career development. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is the nation’s #1 ranked cancer center, located within the Texas Medical Center – home to 21 hospitals and 8 academic and research institutes. Houston is a large and vibrant city with an affordable cost of living, two major airports, professional sports teams, and cultural activities.

Strong experience in computational biology and single cell analysis is highly-desired for the postdoctoral fellow position, and required for the associate computational biologist position. Postdoctoral applicants should have graduated with their PhD no earlier than 2023. Interested applicants are invited to submit a C.V. and cover letter to Dr. Michael Green at: mgreen5@mdanderson.org
