Profile

• You hold a master’s degree in sociology, economics, political science, socioeconomic sciences, (social) educational sciences, or related disciplines;
• Experience with, or a demonstrable interest in and affinity for, quantitative research and large datasets;
• Experience with and affinity for qualitative research is a plus;
• Interest in and affinity for social issues, particularly housing;
• Willingness to pursue further training in data analysis;
• You possess strong analytical skills and are curious, critical, and self-motivated;
• You are a native Dutch speaker or have proven knowledge of Dutch;
• You have a good command of English;
• You distinguished yourself during your studies (with at least a distinction in your master’s or licentiate year—please list the grades earned per academic year in your resume). Higher grades are a plus.

Offer

• A challenging, engaging, and socially relevant position that contributes to an innovative and interdisciplinary project involving several Belgian universities;
• A full-time position, initially for 1 year but renewable for up to 4 years following a positive evaluation;
• You will be part of the ReSPOND research group. You will also be affiliated with HIVA. You will therefore work in a dynamic, stimulating, and supportive research environment;
• You will contribute to a limited extent to teaching within the Department of Sociology (master’s theses, exam support).
