Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (several posts) (Ref.: 536726), to commence as soon as possible for one to two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in biological science, biomedical sciences, bioinformatics or related disciplines. They should be self-driven, highly motivated, creative with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Cantonese. Expertise and knowledge in bioinformatics, deep learning and/or biomedical image and clinical data analysis (e.g. Linux, R programming) is essential. The appointees will need to perform data analysis of single cell RNA-sequencing, transcriptomics data, Nanopore long read sequencing analysis and/or multimodality deep learning model development in different sarcomas. Publications in related fields will be a strong advantage. Opportunities for publication and independent development will be available. Additional basic laboratory skills in handling clinical samples (e.g. FFPE tissue, blood), preparation of samples for scRNA-seq and DNA/RNA extractions will be desirable.
