This post will suit a motivated scientist with a PhD in Molecular Microbiology, Infection Biology or a related discipline, and experience in molecular microbiology, bacterial pathogenesis or host–pathogen interactions.

Dr. Lavender’s research group investigates the molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis and host–pathogen interactions, with a particular focus on understanding how the bacterial pathogen, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, evades the innate immune defences to cause disease.
