We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Researcher to join a project team led by Dr Delma Byrne, who has been awarded funding through the national research centre Rinn Artificial Intelligence – Research & Innovation in Data Science and AI, funded by Research Ireland. The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge project in the broad area of AI, public services and social stratification, with a specific focus on youth transitions through education, training, youth labour markets and welfare services, using a range of methodological approaches (qualitative and quantitative). The postdoctoral researcher will be part of a team undertaking a novel analysis of how artificial intelligence is (re)shaping youth transitions both in Ireland and cross-nationally. They will engage in mixed-methods research, co-organise the activities of the project, contribute to the publications ensuing from them, and co-lead with the PI on key work packages of the project. They will have the opportunity to develop their research, both individually and as part of a team of ambitious scholars.
Salary:
Post-Doctoral Researcher, Level 1 (2026): €47,273 p.a. (Point 1 - with increment)
