The Young Investigator Group Magnons: X-rays and Models is looking for

Postdoc (f/m/d) Development of X-Ray Spectroscopy Techniques for Magnetic Materials

Your Tasks

  • You will perform X-ray spectroscopy measurement at state-of-the-art large-scale facilities.
  • You will perform quantitative data analysis using programming languages such as Python.
  • You will perform preliminary calculations to interpret the results.
  • You will work in an interdisciplinary team with several other research groups in Germany and abroad.
Your Profile
  • Completed PhD studies in physics, materials science or similar
  • Excellent knowledge X-ray spectroscopy techniques (time resolved is well appreciated)
  • Good knowledge of programming
  • Knowledge in using programs like Quanty and Quantum Espresso are highly valued
  • Good teamwork skills and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Very good command of English (C1 level)
  • Experience in presenting scientific results and a strong publication record
