About this position

The Torres-Vázquez Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team investigating the mechanisms that regulate vascular development, function, and disease using zebrafish as a model system. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment and contribute to innovative projects at the interface of developmental biology, genetics, and disease modeling. The position is available immediately.

 

 

 

Applicants should have:

 

A PhD in developmental biology, cardiovascular biology, genetics, cell biology, or a related field.

 

A strong publication record or clear evidence of research productivity.

 

Experience in one or more of the following areas: zebrafish biology, molecular biology, genetics, signaling, mechanobiology, cardiovascular biology, developmental biology, gene expression analyses, quantitative imaging.

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

 

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

 

 

 

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

 

Evidence of experimental creativity.

 

Zebrafish husbandry and experimental techniques.

 

Confocal microscopy or live imaging.

 

Genome editing and transgenic approaches.

 

Gene expression analyses.

 

Biochemistry.

 

Disease modeling and functional assays.
