About this position
The Feske Lab at New York University (NYU) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our team. The lab explores how lymphocyte function is regulated by ion channels & transporters (ICTs) and their downstream signaling pathways. These studies involve the identification and characterization of ICTs in T and B cells, investigation of the molecular mechanisms by which these ICTs control cell signaling, metabolism and gene expression, and determining their physiological roles in the context of immune responses to infection, in autoimmunity and antitumor immunity. In addition to CRAC calcium channels (formed by ORAI and STIM proteins), we investigate a variety of novel ICTs that shape the function of different T and B cell subsets and their associated immune responses. Our lab combines molecular and cell biology with cutting-edge omics, imaging and bioinformatics analyses as well as electrophysiology, and animal models of immunity in health and disease.
Our work is published in leading journals including Nature, Immunity, Nature Immunology, Science Immunology, Cell Metabolism, Nature Communications, J Experimental Medicine, J Clinical Investigation, PNAS, and New England Journal of Medicine.
We aim to provide a supportive, stimulating, and scientifically rigorous environment, where postdoctoral trainees can grow and succeed.

- Several projects availabe to investigate the mechanisms by which novel ICTs regulate immune metabolism, signaling, and gene expression in T and B cells, and how these ICTs shape immune responses to infection and autoimmunity.
Requirements:
- Recent Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in immunology, physiology or a related field. Strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology Preferred: Expertise in immune cell signaling and/or metabolism Enthusiasm for studying ICTs, and ionic signaling Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) Motivation to work independently while thriving in a collaborative lab environment. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm for contributing to a dynamic, internationally oriented research program.
