About this position

A full-time postdoctoral researcher position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Fangwei Leng (https://cimrbj.ac.cn/en/channel/1896763853891571712.html), within the Chinese institute for immunology of Chinese Institutes for Medical Research, Beijing.

Chinese Institutes for Medical Research (CIMR), Beijing(首都医学科学创新中心)is a research organization dedicated to advancing basic and translational medical research. Our goal is to tackle fundamental problems in human health with cutting-edge technology and through interdisciplinary collaborations with world-class scientists and physicians in Beijing. CIMR will provide education and training opportunities for future medical scientists. We are committed to a science-centered framework to promote innovation in research and education through a variety of novel funding mechanisms.   

This position will involve investigating molecular mechanisms of Treg development and function

Current areas of focus in the lab include:

  1. Investigating protein interactions and gene regulatory networks in Tregs.
  2. Developing small molecules, peptides and nanobodies to modulate Treg function.
  3. Exploring the role of microsatellites in gene regulation and genetic disorders.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Conducting research projects independently.
  2. Assisting PI to mentor graduate students, write grant proposals and manuscripts.

Qualifications

  1. Backgrounds in biology or biomedical fields. Either about to obtain a Ph.D. or recently obtained a Ph.D. degree (ideally within the last 3 years). 
  2. Published or about to publish research papers as the first author in reputable journals in the field. With motivation and ability to independently carry out research projects 
  3. Research experience in immunology, Genomics and Bioinformatics is appreciated and favored.
  4. Proficient in English reading, writing, and daily communication. Capable of writing papers in English.
