Europe is expecting a significant increase in low-altitude air traffic in the coming years. These aircraft will need reliable Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services in urban and low-altitude environments. Existing aviation infrastructure may be too costly or inflexible to support these future operations at scale.
ANTENNAE aims to develop and validate a CNS-as-a-Service concept based on modern telecommunications technologies, particularly:
- 5G New Radio (5G NR)
- IP-based software-defined networking
- Distributed/cloud computing architectures
- Future Beyond-5G and 6G capabilities under development by 3GPP standards bodies
We are therefore, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (x2) to support a SESAR JU project named ANTENNAE.
The successful candidates will assist with literature reviews, data collection and analysis, report writing, and administrative research tasks.
Research Assistant Level 2 Salary Scale (2026): €39,061 (1 point)

23:30hrs (local Irish time) on Thursday, 10th September 2026.
