Job Description

  • This position is for School of Social Sciences (SOSS).
  • Conducting reviews of academic and grey literature (media reports, white papers, policy documents).
  • Assist with qualitative data collection, including interviews and observations.
  • Organize and manage data gathering for the project.
  • Support qualitative data coding and thematic analysis using established research frameworks.
  • Contribute to research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other project deliverables.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sociology, global studies, or other related disciplines.
  • Experience in conducting in-depth interviews.
  • Ability to identify and review academic writing and scholarship.
  • Knowledge of qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo.
  • Strong attention to detail in organizing research material and data.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in Southeast Asia.
  • Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia.
