Your new working environment:
At the Institute for Civil Law (Univ.-Prof. Dr. Olaf Riss, LL.M.) a position as a university assistent (prae doc) is to be filled as soon as possible. The scope of employment is 30 hours/week.
The employment duration is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of 4 years is possible.
Interested Persons with a completed degree, above-average academic success, particularly in civil law and private law minor subjects, are invited to apply.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of Civil Law.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You work on your dissertation and its completion.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field of Law
- Above-average academic success, especially good knowledge of Austrian Civil Law
- Basic experience in academic writing and with research methods are beneficial
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
- IT user skills
- German proficiency at least at level C1
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- You should be a team player with high social skills
