The Department of Information Services and Computing is the service, consultation and coordination centre for the Information Infrastructure of the HZDR.
The Group of Artificial Intelligence is looking for a Scientific Assistant (f/m/d) Teaching Consultant.
Your tasks# Compact courses on AI topics within the Helmholtz Association
# Coordination und organisation
# Design and composition
# Quality assurance and assessment of learning success
# Independent Research on machine learning in the natural sciences
Your profile
# Completed university studies (Master/Diploma/PhD) in the field of Computer Science, Natural Sciences or related fields or a certified teacher's degree
# Relevant professional experience in the specified area
# Experience in machine learning methods (tabular data with scikit-learn or related libraries, computer vision with Unets or related, language modelling and prediction with large language models)
# Experience in using large language models and agentic workflows
# Teaching experience equivalent to at least 4-6 one-week courses
# Experience in modern teaching methods (inverted class-room, no-code, with-code, peer learning, ...)
# Familiar with open educational resources as a basis for learning material
# Familiar with reproducible digital data science (programming, version control, package management, command-line usage, data analysis with jupyter/marimo)
# Familiar with surveying or similar tools for quality control
# Excellent communication skills
# A self-organized and creative approach to work, characterized by curiosity, tolerance, and a conscious approach to dealing with mistakes
# Fluent proficiency in English and German
