About this position
The Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften - ISAS - e. V. develops efficient analytical methods for health research. Thus, it contributes to the improvement of the prevention, early diagnosis, and therapy of diseases like cardiovascular diseases or cancer. Overall, the institute strives to advance precision medicine by combining knowledge from different fields such as biology, chemistry, computer science, medicine, pharmacology, and physics. ISAS is a member of the Leibniz Association and is publicly funded by the Federal Republic of Germany and its federal states.
We invite applications for the Research Group Proteomics:
Scientist / Postdoc (m/f/d)
You will be responsible for:
- Planning and performing proteome analyses as part of the joint project:
MikrobiomProCheck – Establishment of clinical microbiome analyses Continuous further development of existing methods and procedures for sample processing and quantitative proteome analysis for use in the joint project Documentation of laboratory work Cooperation with other project partners and regular presentation of results
Your profile:
- Degree in a natural science field (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics) or comparable qualification Experience in a laboratory environment, ideally in the field of bioanalytics Knowledge of mass spectrometry-based proteome research, planning and conducting experiments, in particular the interpretation of measurement data. Strong communication skills, organizational talent, and a solution-oriented approach to work Confident use of MS Office Willingness to travel on business Very good written and spoken English; German is an advantage

The full-time post is available immediately and is a fixed-term role, running until 31 December 2028, due to the nature of the project. The salary will be according to the German TV-L and falls within the pay group 13. The time limitation of the contract is based on the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG).
