The International Max Planck Research School for Molecules of Life (IMPRS-ML) will have an open call for fully funded PhD student positions in the areas of biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, cell biology, systems biology, and computational biology.

IMPRS-ML brings together two renowned Max Planck Institutes, the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (MPIB) and the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence (MPI-BI), as well as two leading partner universities, the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and the Technische Universität München (TUM), to deliver first-class training for the world’s most promising young scientists. Our graduate school comprises more than 250 PhD students from 40+ countries as well as 38 distinguished and internationally recognised faculty members.

CURRICULUM AND TRAINING
IMPRS-ML offers high-level scientific training in a dynamic and international research environment with state-of-the-art facilities to doctoral researchers aiming for successful careers in science. Our comprehensive curriculum allows our students to tailor their learning to their interests, requiring them to earn 25-30 ECTS through various activities. This flexible approach enhances their learning opportunities.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Applicants should hold an MSc (or equivalent degree) with a strong background in biological sciences, biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology or a related discipline.
- Outstanding applicants with a 4-years BSc hons (or equivalent degree) may be eligible to apply depending on the degree awarding country.
