Your Responsibilities

  • Wiriting a doctoral thesis in the field of professionalization in early childhood education (applies only to the position profile University Assistant without doctorate)
  • Participate in national and international research and development projects
  • Conduct independent scientific research in the field of early childhood education
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of scientific projects
  • Support and/or take responsibility for project management and the administration of externally funded research projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and presentations
  • Participate in the development of innovative educational programmes and knowledge transfer formats
  • Contribute to university teaching and/or continuing professional education
  • Supervise and support students
  • Participate in organisational, administrative and quality assurance activities of the Centre
  • Develop and maintain national and international collaborations and research networks
  • Contribute to activities related to the Graz Interaction Scale (GrazIAS)

Your Profile

  • Completed Master's, Diploma or equivalent university degree, or completed doctoral/PhD degree in Educational Sciences, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences or a related discipline
  • Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Sound knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Structured, independent and responsible working style
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in research and/or externally funded projects
  • Experience in scientific publishing
  • Experience in university teaching or adult education
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with statistical and/or qualitative data analysis software
  • International research collaboration and networking experience

Additional Qualifications for Applicants with a Doctorate

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting independent scientific research
  • Experience in acquiring and managing externally funded research projects
  • Experience in supervising university students

The classification and remuneration depend on the respective job profile: € 50.865,40 (University Assistant without doctorate) or 70.200,20 (University Assistant with doctorate).

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70.200,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
