About this position
Postdoctoral fellow position to study B cell physiology in Innsbruck
Context:
In the ”humoral immunity” group at the IBA institute of the University of Innsbruck, we are investigating the

the latter processes leading to the reshaping of B cell physiology with age.
Project/offer:
You will be studying the contribution of miRNA-mediated regulation of protein synthesis to B cell responses
in mice. The investigations will be carried out employing state-of-the-art tools, including conditional gene
targeting, multi-color flow cytometry and cell sorting, present at the IBA, a major aging research center in
Austria. You will also participate in teaching and mentoring students. The 3-year position comes with a
salary before taxes of EUR 5014/month (14 months). You will be part of a multidisciplinary institute fostering
interactions with other groups notably investigating cell metabolism and human immune cells. A start date
from as early as beginning of October 2026 is possible.

immunology and mouse work is expected. Hands-on experience with methods in molecular biology or
biochemistry is welcomed. You are dynamic, flexible, like to take initiative and enjoy teamwork as well as
