Unit: Department of Civil Law, Foreign Private Law and Private International Law
Your Responsibilities
- Writing a dissertation at the University of Graz in the area of Civil Law
- Participation in research projects of Prof. Melcher, in particular in Austrian and European law of obligations and family law as well as private international law
- Conducting of and participation in courses
- Assistance with examinations and supervision of students
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures
Your Profile
- Completed diploma or master’s degree in Law with above-average success
- Excellent abilities of Austrian Private Law and associated practise areas (especially EU Law)
- Excellent German language skills (written and spoken)
- Very good English language skills (another foreign language desirable)
- Experience abroad (desirable)
- Competence in the evaluation of other's performances (desirable)
- Didactic competence for the conducting of courses in German (desirable)
- Comprehensive computer skills
- High interest in scientific work and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and focused
- Communication, organizational and teamwork skills

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52.865,40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
